# Privacy policy — Package Links for GitHub An unofficial Firefox add-on, not affiliated with GitHub. When you select a dependency, an import or an install command on GitHub, it shows links to the package pages on npm, PyPI, pkg.go.dev, crates.io, RubyGems, Packagist and Maven Central (and to the Node.js and Python docs for built-in modules). It has no server, no account, no analytics and no ads. **Where it runs.** Only on pages of `github.com` and `raw.githubusercontent.com`. It has no other site access and no other permissions. The manifest declares `data_collection_permissions.required: ["none"]`. **What it reads.** The text you select, and the lines of the same file or code block around it (to tell whether a line sits inside "dependencies" or an import block), plus the file name from the page address or the diff header. This is used inside the tab only, to build the links. Text you type in comment and issue fields is never read. **What is sent:** nothing. The add-on makes no network requests at all and does not check whether a package exists. A registry receives a package name only when you open one of the links yourself; the link is opened without the GitHub page address (no referrer). **What is stored:** nothing. The add-on uses no storage. **What is never collected:** personal data, code, page content, browsing history, analytics, advertising identifiers. Nothing is sold or shared.
